Sessions & multiple devices
An Alfe conversation isn’t tied to one window or one device. You can talk to the same agent from the dashboard, the desktop app, and the mobile app, and it all stays in sync.
Multiple devices at once
Section titled “Multiple devices at once”You can have the same conversation open in more than one place at the same time — for example the dashboard on your laptop and the mobile app on your phone. Messages you send and replies from the agent appear across all of your open windows for that conversation, so you can switch devices mid-conversation without missing anything.
Shared, durable history
Section titled “Shared, durable history”Conversation history lives with the agent, not with a single client. Because of that:
- Closing a window doesn’t end the conversation. Reopen it later — on any device — and the thread is still there.
- Switching devices keeps context. Start on desktop, continue on mobile; the agent has the same history either way.
- New conversations still benefit from memory. Even a fresh conversation draws on the agent’s long-term memory, so it can recall past facts and work.
Reconnecting
Section titled “Reconnecting”Chat is a live connection, so brief network drops, sleeping a laptop, or backgrounding the mobile app can interrupt it. When connectivity returns, the client reconnects and resumes the conversation — you don’t need to start over, and history is preserved.
One agent, many surfaces
Section titled “One agent, many surfaces”Devices aren’t the only way to reach an agent. The same conversation model extends to channels like Slack, Discord, and SMS: a message on any surface reaches the one agent, with its shared memory and abilities behind every reply.
