Choosing a size

Managed agents come in three sizes. Each size determines how much compute the agent’s host has. Pick based on how heavy the agent’s work is — you can change size later by recreating the agent.

Size vCPU Memory Storage Best for
Small 2 4 GB 40 GB SSD Lighter workloads and everyday assistants
Medium 4 8 GB 80 GB SSD Standard workloads with more headroom
Large 8 16 GB 160 GB SSD Heavier, compute-intensive workloads

All three sizes ship with the same core integrations preinstalled (chat, a web console, support, and a headless browser) and can install any of the integrations in the registry.

  • Small is a good default for a personal assistant, a chat bot, or an agent that mostly calls tools and models.
  • Medium gives extra memory and CPU for agents that run larger local tasks, hold more in the workspace, or juggle several integrations at once.
  • Large is for compute-heavy work — think large builds, data processing, or running many things in parallel on the host.

If you’re unsure, start with small. You can move up later.

Managed agents are add-ons on your Alfe subscription, billed monthly or annually. Your plan includes some capacity, and you add more as your fleet grows. For current sizes, allowances, and prices, see the pricing page.

All usage — compute, model calls, voice, storage — draws on your single tenant-wide credit pool. See The credit pool.

Size is fixed for the life of a given host. To move an agent to a different size, recreate it at the new size — this rebuilds the agent on a fresh host. See Lifecycle & status.
